Listening Logs
17/11/10 16:39
Part of what music is all about is LISTENING! The listening logs that you’ll be doing for this class should serve as a basic journal of the pieces that you’ve listened to. There is a HUGE difference between casual listening and active listening.
Casual listening would include (not limited to):
1. Music in the car
2. Music while you’re talking on the phone or to other people in the room
3. Background music during dinner, an event, with friends, etc...
4. Any other time that the music itself is not the focal point of what you’re doing.
These listening logs will hopefully give you a better understanding of the active listening process.
